Beast Machines | Longhorn

When a new character toy or released as part of the Transformers franchise and brand they appear on the animated series or in the comicbooks. Rarely, you’ll ever appreciate a “non-show” character that gets immediately forgotten. With the resurging nostalgia and interest of the Beast Era through the War for Cybertron toyline some only knew a few characters that only scratched the surface of the 1990s series. As the Chinese Lunar Year inches close by here’s a spotlight for an unsung character that is typically unknown and immediately forgotten. If you haven’t heard of Longhorn then you only know what’s popular with Beast Wars that gave a renewed interest for the Transformers brand, but with Beast Machines then you’ll be surprised.

Titans Return | Wheelie

01.12.2017 – Wheelie is one of the characters introduced in “Transformers: The Movie” from 1986, which was sort of one of the minor low points of that memorable film after giving kids of this generation the Death of Optimus Prime. This was also the time they introduced a slew of new characters in turn killing off the ones that fans have grown up to like which was also a travesty. Fast forward to the present Hasbro re-introduce some of those 1986 characters in Titans Return!

Sightings: New Toy Kingdom at SM Aura Premier!

05.24.2013 – If you missed the opening of Toy Kingdom’s latest store last May 17th at the brand new mall at the Fort Bonifacio in Taguig chances are you could have been there already. The latest store is big and the shelves are spread out not bunched up like you’re in a library. When you see the entrance the first thing you’ll notice is the human size Bumblebee in the glass window greeting the kids behind the glass. The toy section has only have half the space for Transformers related products aligned with the other robots.

Sightings: Generations 30th Anniversary Releases!

05.03.2013 – In the last two days the new Generations toys celebrating 30 years of Transformers has started to appear on retail stores like Toys r’ Us and Toy Kingdom in Metro Manila. The new Generations that were sighted is the Voyager Calss assortment in Blitzwing and Springer which was launched over the weekend through distribution release by Playkit. There were also Generations in Legends Class scale in Optimus Prime and Bumblebee having companions in Roller and Blaze Master going for PhP 700.00 pesos. Though the price is not entirely justifiable they seem to fit to the upcoming Metroplex in September.

Then & Now: Beachcomber!

09.05.2011 - Beachcomber’s bio card states he’s a geologist with a hippie attitude. A pacifist of war tries to reconcile his love of peace and freedom for all creatures. It’s hard to accept this as it sickens him down to his very spark regarding the conflicts which there’s always a price for casualty and destruction. He appeared in the second season of the original G1 cartoon with a cool surfer dude attitude. Skilled in combat but not very fast or strong Beachcomber knows how to fight. He is an explorer who tends to lose himself in the jungle just to calm and cleanse his soul.

Reveal The Shield: Legends Class Megatron!

07.25.2011 - For every hero there’s a villain. There’s good versus evil as the main concept what makes a franchise click. In Transformers that main villain is Megatron the Decepticon tyrannical leader bent on conquering the universe. The 1984 classic cartoon provided much interest in Transformers because of that particular concept. To every Optimus Prime in every Transformer series there’s Megatron to that our hero has to stop no matter the cost.

TF Philippine Toy Sightings For January 2011!

01.22.2011 - For those who have the passion to do a toy run I salute your efforts. Recently Playkit had recently released the new wave of Reveal The Shield series replacing the Generations toy line from the shelves. We spotted some fo the interesting stuff you might still be in the hunt not available in your area. We toured the stores from Toy kingdom and Toys R' Us to give you a preview of some of the assortments that's been out, on sale, and awaiting to be cleared from the toy shelves for the past six months.
