There’s not much new sightings nearby Makati area, but suddenly in some places where not most people thread to visit you find that some of the retail stores gets their new wave of Legacy unnoticed. It’s not that the global market is changing after the pandemic it’s all about market strategy for most stores like Toy Kingdom. And just that, The Wave 2 Deluxe and Commander Class has subtle appearance in a place, where rarely is an off-grid place. But for those passionate enough they won’t let any stone unturned and this new world is certainly a challenging one to find these on display are most of the times do not make it to the display since TK has already shopping it to their customers on Viber.

The new Transformers assortments featuring the Velocitron Spedia 500 brings in also the new wave of Legacy as previously reported. There’s more where that came from, and surely there is no delay this time or short on stocks to fill up the retail isle that has been depleted post-pandemic. Not all retail stores are carrying all these new assortments, and the local distributor is more strategic with the locations with more foot traffic than just stocking up every branch that’s not getting enough people to pass by, and the term ‘hole in the wall’ seems like a thing of the past if you notice some stores with no new Transformers.

Micro Machines is one of the popular properties in the 1980s and 1990s, which was originally manufactured by Galoob (now part of Hasbro) has been known to produce micro scale vehicles and playsets and has been popular with its original TV commercial by John Moschitta Jr., who became known as the Micro Machine Man, and also voiced Blurr in the 1986 Transformers Movie. The toyline has been revived several times throughout the 2000s and a few years back, but popularity sometimes not on every 1980s property until they get mashed together with another popular brand like Transformers.

The highly anticipated follow-up to the Generations toyline after Kingdom introduces Legacy, which is a new beginning for the Transformers brand that has been talked about since the later part of 2021. It has already appeared in select markets in Asia, and it has been sighted recently in the Philippines. Legacy is an entirely new toyline expanding the Generations branding, and also have some carry over from the previous trilogy that has been a ‘shoo-in’ until the brand's new range assortments has been officially released for retail consumer. This was expected to arrive in the local scene since the announcement of the April 2022 street date.

War for Cybertron: Kingdom is slowly getting restocked in selected retail stores in Metro Manila. But is it enough to give the market the demand it needs? Well, depends on which area you’re located, but the local distributor continues to make sure there are enough for everyone despite growing numbers of interest for the toy brand that made Hasbro continue to make toys for the big boys. Despite the challenging logistic demand is it enough? The third installment of the War Far Cybertron Trilogy in Kingdom has had a rough start being stocked late in January 202i making them fly off the shelves instantaneously not even lasting a week. For those who had limited access to this product there is hope.

02.19.2020 - Sometimes the best places to find the Transformers figure that you missed are the location that had enough foot traffic and it is off the radar namely before going south bound. In case you’re in the hunt for the latest wave from Siege and Cyberverse maybe it must be the right timing for you to find it at Toy Kingdom in SM MoA. There are only two stores in SM Mall of Asia and that’s in Toy Kingdom and TK Express inside The SM Store (Department Store). Rarely, there is something worth the trip to this place unless they have restocked the latest Transformers from War For Cybertron and the animated series in Cyberverse which was sighted today!

02.17.2020 – If you’re Manila-based toy collector chances are you already are familiar with the places around the metro. The usual places people frequent are the most accessible part of Greenhills, which is the mecca for anything that collector’s from other countries want to make the trip. But sometimes the retail stores nearby are sometimes overlooked for new Transformers toys by Hasbro that are distributed by Playkit Inc, which recently had brought the War For Cybretron: Siege Wave 4 Deluxe Class assortment that some thought that was exclusive only to some parts of Southeast Asia and Australasia.

02.14.2020 – At the height of the news that War For Cybertron: Siege Wave 4 Deluxe Class assortment has finally started to appear in Philippine retail in the past few days through group forums that was supposed to be available in the final quarter of 2019, but turns out what arrived was the final wave assortment. The final wave assortment would turn out to be Crosshairs and Spinister. Eventually, Wave 4 started appearing in Australian and Malaysian retail. But that changed as sighting reports dated on 11 February 2020 that local Toys R’ Us stores have them already. But as of this sighting report they are slowly disappearing.

12.20.2019 – The festive season is almost here but for some who can’t find any new stuff on retail chances are there’s a ‘hole in the wall’ kind of store that has never been visited or have seen if there is a gem that you’re looking for. But then again with the horrid Manila traffic turning up to eleven there’s not enough time to get from A to B. However, there are intrepid individuals out there that have been kind enough to make the trip by two wheels or on foot to get to that place. Of course, that place is Toy Kingdom’s Lucky Chinatown branch, which is located at the heart of Binondo that is rarely a location you’ll find the ones you are looking for namely Transformers toys!

05.28.2019 – There was an unexpected sighting yesterday at Toy Kingdom’s flagship store in SM Megamall. The toys that were sighted are Evolution Nemesis Prime (Amazon Exclusive), Transformers Legends Hot Rodimus, and Bumblebee Vol. 1 Retro Rock Garage that were available in the store. In the three mentioned the most sought after is the Transformers Legends LG-25, which Takara Tomy version of Titans Masters Autobot Hot Rod that was only available in selected markets outside Japan until it became available locally.

01.07.2019 – Wrapping up the weekend Transformers was the highlight due to the special Philippine screening of Bumblebee Movie by UIP/Columbia Pictures with special invites to media after a long delayed wait due to the annual Metro Manila Film Fest (MMFF) that prohibited foreign films from being shown for the month of December 2018. The other bit of new3s may be minor but the first installment for War For Cybertron: SIEGE officially available at Toy Kingdom with some of the new wave of Cyberverse assortment started appearing local retail particularly at Toy Kingdom Express satellite stores inside The SM Store toy section.

TK New Release | Transformers Siege

12.30.2018 – Transformers Siege: the War for Cybertron Trilogy has dropped at Toy Kingdom flagship store in SM Megamall yesterday during their “Distribution Day.” The first wave had made it to Philippine retail market for its pre-release since they opened their stores early in the day. There were a lot of collectors looking for this first wave from this new trilogy that is unrelated to the videogame from eight years ago. The title “War For Cybertron” has been used before which was organically based from Activisions videogame set during the civil war in Cybertron, but this toyline is different…

11.12.2018 – Although the upcoming Transformers Movie spinoff entitled simply as “Bumblebee” won’t be released in the Philippine cinemas until early part of January 2019 as dismayed Filipino fans have reacted to this news. However, there have been an abundance of merchandise and clothing that is already promoting the said film. From toys by Hasbro and Takara Tomy to the licensed shirts sold at The SM Store it sure is something to see amidst the popularity between Marvel Studios and the latest Star Wars Trilogy.

08.25.2018 – Major events like the Toy Kingdom Toy Expo defines what kind of brand that is out there that continues to be relevant. Mostly from the toy brands that are synonymous with the hits for 2018 like the Avengers or Star Wars are the winners for kids that look forward to see in this event that also collectors go for. But for the Transformers brand even though there was not much flair for its recent live action film from last year there is still interest for the toyline with Hasbro’s flagship range of Generations “Power of the Prime” coming to a close as the third instalment of the “Prime Wars Trilogy” supported with an animation by Machinima.

03.08.2017 – Titans Return, the current Generations line of Transformers taking inspiration to the Headmasters and comic book stories published by IDW Publication is in full swing as the toys have started arriving in Philippine retail. New sightings of assortments from Wave 2 and 3 have been spotted. Interesting enough not all of the assortments has made it to retail displays like Wheelie from the first wave of Legends Class. But back in South Australia this character is in abundance. But right now the latest figures like Sky Shadow, Kup, Perceptor, and Road Burn is already available at Toy Kingdom.

11.07.2014 – Friday was indeed a hectic weekend with the holiday season slowly creeping its way as early as November one might wonder if there’s a sale. There hasn’t been a huge price downs out there for Transformers product, but if there is expect a big crowd taking everything home not including the kitchen sink. There were interesting stiff from Age of Extinction and the former Transformers Prime toy line that’s now on a blue or yellow tag.

09.01.2014 – If you missed the event about Toy Kingdom’s Toy Expo you haven’t missed much. But the only difference in 2014 is that there’s not much product launch, which has something to do with Transformers. But there is one related to robots turning into vehicles and other things that’s popular no in Japan but in Korea. The series is called “TOBOT.” The series is a 3D animated show and the toys are manufactured by Young Toys that’s now popular with the kids.

The first one which opened its doors back in 2012 presented a much celebrated occasion. For this year they have went ahead and opened Toy Expo to the public with a set of scheduled events. For Transformers they have a meet & greet with the friendly Autobots, but no other activities aside from exhibit area.

Some might not have been aware that most toys can be found at Toy Kingdom and Toys R’Us in the Philippines.” If you want to be the first to get your hands on toys related to Transformers Age of Extinction one toy has made it on retail. First Edition Optimus Prime is now available in Philippine market which is an Amazon Exclusive released in February 2014. The others are Platinum Edition Supreme Starscream and G1 reissue Predacon combiner Predaking!
