TF Sightings | MicroMachines: Playsets

Micro Machines is one of the popular properties in the 1980s and 1990s, which was originally manufactured by Galoob (now part of Hasbro) has been known to produce micro scale vehicles and playsets and has been popular with its original TV commercial by John Moschitta Jr., who became known as the Micro Machine Man, and also voiced Blurr in the 1986 Transformers Movie.

The toyline has been revived several times throughout the 2000s and a few years back, but popularity sometimes not on every 1980s property until they get mashed together with another popular brand like Transformers.




Several months ago someone has sighted the basic assortment sets for MicroMachines + Transformers playsets. There was no major official announcement, but they were sighted in local US discount stores. But there never was any news surrounding this toyline until it was already displayed at Toy Kingdom in SM Makati.

These Micro Playsets that include a mystery vehicle/character is also accompanied with three larger playsets that features Optimus Prime and Bumblebee with a third playset featuring a red corvette (possibly unnamed to be Road Rage).

Also, newly restocked second wave of Leader Class Blitzwing and Voyager Class G2 Universe Jhiaxus and a ‘clean version” of Siege Soundwave were also sighted.

These new assortment is not available in all stores, but only selected Toy Kingdom stores that have enough foot traffic to find them.

The assigned store staff advised to connect with their Viber account for updates as they mostly post the new arrivals on their thread. But they also mentioned some of the items no longer announced once the customers picks them up.
