TF Sightings | Legacy at TK Makati

The highly anticipated follow-up to the Generations toyline after Kingdom introduces Legacy, which is a new beginning for the Transformers brand that has been talked about since the later part of 2021. It has already appeared in select markets in Asia, and it has been sighted recently in the Philippines.

Legacy is an entirely new toyline expanding the Generations branding, and also have some carry over from the previous trilogy that has been a ‘shoo-in’ until the brand's new range assortments has been officially released for retail consumer. This was expected to arrive in the local scene since the announcement of the April 2022 street date.

It would come to a bittersweet surprise that a major change in retail price point has made a jump that is considered for some unattainable, but more of this later, the first wave of Legacy has been spotted at local store Toy Kingdom in Makati City. It may appear that Wave 1 has been seen in their shelves that is lacking some of the major favourites since it has been on display since Monday (11 April 2022).

There are some even did not make it to the shelves as immediately customers scooped up some of those major favourites. With the recent additional reveals during Hasbro’s live streaming this recent Tuesday the new wave of Transformers is becoming scarce in general retail that most can now be found being sold at specialty shops.

With the recent price increase on essential goods, it also affected those non-essentials like collectibles, namely toys. For that reason why toy collecting in the Philippines has gradually changed and showed who has the deep pockets to continue collecting this popular toyline, as the currently price point from Core Class, Deluxe Class, Voyager Class, and Leader Class have significantly increased.
