| Just when you thought Transformers Legacy will be the only assortment that would be seen in Philippine retail this popped up unexpectedly at one of the selected Toys R’ Us Stores that still getting new assortments once in a while comparable to the other branches that haven’t seen the light of day.
The Velocitron Speedia 500 Collection was one of those assortments that is only for Walmart Exclusive stores has been on display for the last few couple days, but they’re not as plentiful as most new Transformers toys displayed in the past. They fly off the shelves and rarely get any new stock… |
But this is your chance to get that opportunity to get the characters from this sub-theme under the Legacy toyline as you’ll never know if Playkit will ever restock these as the usual thing that happens on local retail is the first two waves are the usual staple on the shelves, and this hasn’t happened in a very long time.
Aside from the Velocitron assortment you also get to see Shattered Glass, which is another sub-theme to ever be sold on retail. The past assortments were usually found as pre-orders from specialty stores and there’s light at the end of the tunnel hoping previous assortments would still make it on this display shelf.
Also, the ones sighted at Toys R’ Us in Gloretta branch features the Legacy Core Class assortments, which might be up for grabs too

With all the interest shifting to Velocitron Spedia 500, the one that’s not entirely new that has been sold out was Clampdown, which compliments Deep Cover that was released previously as part of the Generations Selcts assortment.
There’s not much beyond what is on the shelves as not enough stock to go around as having one or two on the display shelves is not enough to sustain local Transformers fans and would-be collectors to get their hands on these assortment. But surely Playkit is taking notes that the interest in this toyline is unwavering and for those losing hope missing out there will be more where that came from.
