Legacy United | First Look: Sandstorm

The Forty Years of Transformers started rolling for today’s ‘Transformers Tuesday” in the US reveals for upcoming figures that would be released for the summer season. Although the highlight for the release centered on two iconic characters getting a re-release in a comic book-inspired iteration. This one is for the upcoming second wave of the Legacy United toyline that some longtimne fans have been clamoring since the last one came out in the thirtiesth anniversary year.

02.14.2020 – At the height of the news that War For Cybertron: Siege Wave 4 Deluxe Class assortment has finally started to appear in Philippine retail in the past few days through group forums that was supposed to be available in the final quarter of 2019, but turns out what arrived was the final wave assortment. The final wave assortment would turn out to be Crosshairs and Spinister. Eventually, Wave 4 started appearing in Australian and Malaysian retail. But that changed as sighting reports dated on 11 February 2020 that local Toys R’ Us stores have them already. But as of this sighting report they are slowly disappearing.

12.20.2019 – The festive season is almost here but for some who can’t find any new stuff on retail chances are there’s a ‘hole in the wall’ kind of store that has never been visited or have seen if there is a gem that you’re looking for. But then again with the horrid Manila traffic turning up to eleven there’s not enough time to get from A to B. However, there are intrepid individuals out there that have been kind enough to make the trip by two wheels or on foot to get to that place. Of course, that place is Toy Kingdom’s Lucky Chinatown branch, which is located at the heart of Binondo that is rarely a location you’ll find the ones you are looking for namely Transformers toys!

TK New Release | Transformers Siege

12.30.2018 – Transformers Siege: the War for Cybertron Trilogy has dropped at Toy Kingdom flagship store in SM Megamall yesterday during their “Distribution Day.” The first wave had made it to Philippine retail market for its pre-release since they opened their stores early in the day. There were a lot of collectors looking for this first wave from this new trilogy that is unrelated to the videogame from eight years ago. The title “War For Cybertron” has been used before which was organically based from Activisions videogame set during the civil war in Cybertron, but this toyline is different…

03.08.2017 – Titans Return, the current Generations line of Transformers taking inspiration to the Headmasters and comic book stories published by IDW Publication is in full swing as the toys have started arriving in Philippine retail. New sightings of assortments from Wave 2 and 3 have been spotted. Interesting enough not all of the assortments has made it to retail displays like Wheelie from the first wave of Legends Class. But back in South Australia this character is in abundance. But right now the latest figures like Sky Shadow, Kup, Perceptor, and Road Burn is already available at Toy Kingdom.

Transformers Legends Teaser by Hisashi Yuki!

10.02.2014 – TransFormers Legends will be Takara Tomy’s latest series of toys based from previous line. This would replace the TransFormers United series that has been part of Takara Tomy’s flagship brand. Hisashi Yuki late after noon teased some interesting images courtesy of Maximal’s iconic saboteur and Arcee great grand nephew Rattrap. The line has promising figures that was revealed via Yuki’s Twitter account, which will be released soon.

Transformers Prime Arms Micron TV CM!

03.07.2012 – Recently TakaraTomy updated their Youtube channel with its second TV CM of the Transformers Prime Arms Micron (The series known in North America as simply Transformers Prime). This shot sixteen second commercial features the main characters of the CG animated TV series shown in the US channel The Hub Networks. The series interest in toys is catching up in the land of the rising sun.

Kre-O Transformers Sighting in the Philippines!

03.05.2012 – Kre-O has landed the Philippine retail stores! After a long wait those who are into construction toy building and awaiting for the arrival of Kre-O is finally here! It’s been a long time for those eagerly awaiting these cool toys from Hasbro. This was supposed to be released during the popularity of Transformers: Dark of the Moon last June 2011, but to no avail it took almost 9 months to wait. The first wave assortment is complete and was sighted at the Toys R’ Us flagship store in Robinsons Galleria.

NY Toy Fair 2012: Generations, The Fall of Cybertron!

02.12.2012 – There’s a great deal of good stuff happening this year and some of you might have been aware about it. The New York 2012 Toy Fair has been churning up news about the upcoming toys and merchandise for the Transformers brand. There are a lot of updates to get yourself connected about the upcoming videogame in The Fall of Cybertron and the press release images was in abundance that we pick the best ones more closely related to the Generation One Universe. The first news we had so far is the continuity of the toyline Generations. This series won’t be renamed unlike Classics, Universe and Reveal The Shield. There’s a lot of accolades building up to the release of the toys namely one bad ass Bruticus.

10.21.2011 – Who would love to hate Starscream? The entire Decepticon legion hates his guts. Even Megatron would like to give him some serious fusion cannon indigestion. When he got reformatted he even disintegrated him (See Transformers: The Movie, 1986). So what’s to love about Starscream? He’s got more toys and merchandise than all the three coneheads combined and he was voiced by the same person who breathes life to Cobra Commander (Chris Latta remembered). With all said about being trivial on who Starscream is get ready for another stunner. Null rays may be his primary weapon in the original animation and definitely Takara Tomy added another figure for you to take home in your shrine of Starscreams. For a price of 11500 YEN you get this new improved Masterpiece Edition.

Toy Sighting at the Mission Earth TRU Toy Launch!

07.10.2011 - Transformers: Mission Earth was a successful toy launch for Toys R' Us Philippines. It featured a lot of toys that was released from the Dark of the Moon toyline. The latest waves where interesting, and you'll get to see them in a few weeks. Yesterday was also festive since the price cut on the Reveal of the Shield toyline was announced at 50% Percent off. Meaning all the Deluxe Class that was released under the RTS toyline is now at PhP 350 pesos, while the Voyager Class is at PhP 600.00 pesos.

Million Publishing Stepper Exclusive!

04.22.2011 - Million Publishing has revealed their upcoming exclusive Stepper figure. This figure looks to be exclusive with the upcoming Transformers Generations 2011 book set for release April 27, 2011. This exclusive is a repaint/retool of Reveal The Shield/United Jazz just as Takara Tomy exclusive G1 Targetmaster Stepper released in the Headmasters line was a repaint of G1 Jazz. Released in the U.S. as Ricochet as part of the Toys R' Us Commemerative Reissue Series in 2003. Stepper is seen here holding a redeco of Nightstick, which orignally came with a Henkei/Universe Cyclonus in 2008.

TFCC: Q&A with Hasbro!

09.24.2010 - The official Transformers Collectors Club by Fun Publishing had released the club exclusive comic with the attachment of the article regarding the upcoming Transformers Generations toy line. Just click to enlarge the image of the page if you want to read the article. So far The Generations has released some of the memorable characters from the comics as well as from the old cartoons and from the War for Cybertron video game. Awesome move by Hasbro to be faithful in bringing some of the characters from the comic book, which some of them have been long forgotten. The Transformers Comics Universe is now expanding in toy form, which will definitely bring some of the well known comic book charcters leap in toy form.

New Revenge Toy Sightings!

02.11.2010 - Anyone has passed by SM's Toy Kingdom lately would be surprised to see new arrivals. Namely the Revenge of The Fallen Legends Class size transformable Devastator, which is priced at PhP 2,599.75 pesos with all eight contruction vehicles from the movie. There are also the scout class two-packs that are also avaialble. Plus a new repaint of Starscream.
