AoE Evolution 2-Pack | "1984" Grimlock

12.04.2019 – Grimlock is one of the favorite characters in the Transformers brand that has transcended and reincarnated in various forms of the succeeding series. The Dinobot Commander is so popular that there’s a plethora of merchandise based on the character alone ranging from action figures to even a Happy Meal toys.

There have been better designed reiterations of Grimlock that’s from the Masterpiece range and recently with Generations as part of the ‘Power of the Primes.’ Almost five years ago there was also a revival of sorts with celebrating the ‘Thrilling 30’ from the brand it produced the Evolution 2-Packs and one of these three is Grimlock!

Generations: "Thrilling 30" Orion Pax!

12.26.2014 – In the original cartoon Orion Pax was a dock worker and in other media like from the Dreamwave and IDW published comic books he’s known as an archivist. It depends on which form of media you followed but overall he would became Prime.

But the version that depicted in the Deluxe Class released Generations toyline commemorating 30 years of Transformers is based on the Spotlight comic book by IDW Publication. But there’s more than meets the eye who is Orion Pax…

Generations: "Thrilling 30" Crosscut!

11.01.2014 – The Transformers toyline representing the modern G1 officially known as Generations continue to produce some of the best figures. Hasbro has continued to churn up some of the most sought after characters that some never makes it in toy shelves.

In the Philippines it has become difficult some of those second tier characters unless you know the next distribution will be released by Playkit (the country’s local distributor for most Hasbro products). But there are those who are relatively unknown that’s based from an original figure with minor retool like Crosscut not an original G1 character.

Generations: "Thrilling 30" Trailcutter!

07.14.2014 – You’ve probably have read the Transformers Spotlight featuring Trailcutter and how he adapted that name from being known as Trailbreaker. There hasn't been a modern version of the character until 2010 when Hasbro released a Legend Class figure bearing the name Trailcutter.

Hasbro has been anticipating the 30th anniversary of the TRANSFORMERS brand and they don’t want fans excited. But Trailcutter was one of those characters who finally got their modern Generation One figure that was released along with Bumblebee, Megatron, & Orion Pax.

TF SDCC 2014 Exclusive: Knights of Unicron!

06.05.2014 – The 1980s was the advent of glam rock and it was also the era where Transformers was first introduced.

You put two together and it might come out something outlandishly insane at the same time breaking out the normal routine.

Hasbro’s design team must have been the kids who grew up listening to glam rock.

Maybe it’s also that the soundtrack from the 1986 Transformers: The Movie might also have something to do with the release of the exclusive for this SDCC 2014.

Generations: "Thrilling 30" Sandstorm!

11.20.2013 – Sandstorm is one of those second or third tier characters that were introduced in the 3rd season of the original Generations One cartoon.

This was after the 1986 animated movie set in the year 2010. In the cartoons Sandstorm has rare screen time unlike the main Autobots that was introduced in the movie.

Sandstorm is known as a member of the Wreckers an Autobot subgroup revealed more back story in the comic books published by Marvel in the 1980s.

VC Generations Sandstorm VTOL Revealed!

05.14.2013 – Thanks to TFPH member Richard Besana who shared an image of Sandstorm’s VTOL mode that was left a mystery in the previous revelation when the figure’s product photo appeared in the Transformers official Facebook page. This was immediately removed then re-posted again official yesterday.

Now it’s shows how heavily Sandstorm was a retool/redeco of Voyager Class Springer that was recently available on retail along with Blitzwing.

Some details about the VTOL mode dates back to the revelation of Generations Metroplex product box with the art during New York Toy Fair.

Titan Class Metroplex Additional Images!

05.13.2013 – Its four months away before Titan Class Metroplex reaches retail stores. Previously images from Takara Tomy’s TF Yuki and the images from Hasbro that was reported other has been quite raising some question about the colors and quality of the figure including the actual size.

There were already some disappointments when Takara Tomy revealed to be bringing the figure out with two of Metroplex’s signature rifles while Hasbro is providing only one. But no matter the sheer size of this figure still haunts Fortres Maxmimus owners that it won’t be the biggest Transformers once this comes out.

VC Generations Sandstorm Teaser Images!

05.12.2013 – The Transformers 30th Anniversary Edition toys has finally reached the Philippines and it’s been out for the past two weeks.

Most notable figures in the assortment are the Voyager Class Triple Changes in Blitzwing and Springer.

Previously the Classics line has produced Deluxe Class Astrotrain (2006) and Universe Tankor who used to have an original name as Octane. This leaves Broadside and Sandstorm not having modern versions of their figure…

Generations Metroplex Additional Teaser Images!

05.10.2013 – It’s been three months since Hasbro unveiled the biggest Transformers ever to celebrate “Thrilling 30” years of the brand.

There has been teaser images and size comparisons to the vintage version.

So you have to wait until it drops on you in September and yet you get anticipated for its arrival. There were pre-orders in local sellers that assurance of its arrival will be there. But for now everyone has to do with more teaser images that’s floating around for the past months and who would agree with that?
