03.05.2012 – Kre-O has landed the Philippine retail stores! After a long wait those who are into construction toy building and awaiting for the arrival of Kre-O is finally here! It’s been a long time for those eagerly awaiting these cool toys from Hasbro. This was supposed to be released during the popularity of Transformers: Dark of the Moon last June 2011, but to no avail it took almost 9 months to wait. The first wave assortment is complete and was sighted at the Toys R’ Us flagship store in Robinsons Galleria. |
A full shelf that featured the basic assortments (priced at PhP 599.75) that includes Optimus Prime and Bumblebee is now available.
The ones that include the mini figures are priced at PhP 699.75 pesos (Jazz and Mirage) up to the biggest set featuring Optimus Prime based from DOTM in full trailer priced at PhP 4,499.75 pesos.
There’s more Kreons to go around as these sets can be compatible with other leading brands such as LEGO and Mega Bloks as Korean toy manufacturer Oxford is Hasbro tie-up to release these.
Each set with the exception of the Basic set includes two to three figures and depends on its size. The biggest set like Optimus Prime has five mini figures included that his mini version. The other sets are Prowl, Ratchet, Sideswipe, Starscream, Bumblebee, Megatron and Sentinel Prime.
The sets vary its price points to size and this construction toys adds variety to LEGO and Mega Bloks brands which dominates the market globally. Oxford is popularly known only within Korea as its own local brand of construction toy has been around until Hasbro had team up with them to bring Transformers to those who are into this hobby.
