| The past few days have been quite a surprise if you’re keeping eye on the War for Cybertron: Kingdom. Local retail is slowly ramping up their shelf displays and for the stores that gets a complete assortment it is a rarity. Though it might be too early to celebrate surely there’s more where that came from. In the case of Toys R’ Us they’re the store that get most out of the new stuff.
As mentioned before not all stores get their shelves updated this is due to the strategic location of the stores for the reason they’re getting new stuff while the others aren’t. Though it appears to be unfair but at the end of the day it is a business tactic why these stores are updated compared to the others even if the store carries the same name. If you’re not from Makati City you’ll be surprised. |
Sighting Update as of 24 February 2021
The past weekend update at Toys R’ Us Glorietta shows that they’re one of thestores fortunate enough to get restocks for WFC: Kingdom. It is located at the Bridgeway connecting Glorietta Mall and SM Makati. It is where collectors go first since it easily seen in a Transformers fan perspective a ‘space bridge’ that is accessible to almost everyone working and residing in this area.
In the recent days both TRU and its rival Toy Kingdom has been getting significant amount of restocks compared to nearby stores in Landmark, Rustan’s, and even TRU Greenbelt. The ramp up on the first wave arrival for Kingdom was rough at the end of January 2021 and slowly ‘normalized’ for some, but to those casual into selectively acquiring their favourites it would still be not enough when second wave gets released locally on general retail.
Cyclonus of Both Toylines
With the release of Studio Series 86 many would wonder if there would be another Cyclonus for this range, but clearly with this character’s absences in the toy isle it is evident that this same figure would also be part of Kingdom since it was released under this series than the later.
TRU Glorietta has not have Cyclonus on the toy shelves and largely the only character that they have available while the rest from the first wave is on display including Warpath and both Optimus Primal and Megatron (Beast).
This is probably the first time TRU Glorietta ever had a complete assortment, almost. So far Cyclonus is the hottest commodity right now and not have been seen in stores with the exception that the very last figure was already bought at Toy Kingdom in SM Makati last night as of this update.
In case you haven’t been passing by TRU Glorietta you’ll probably in for a good treat if you haven’t pick up any of the assortment for the first wave as the new set would arrive in handful as most of the local toy reviewers has them already in-hand, but not acquired from retail stores. Just keep an eye for those too, right now if you haven’t got any of the ones that keeps being sold check the updated details below:
