TF Sightings | Landmark Toy Section Re-Opens
Most of the stores that re-opened have massive restocks of the Transformers Earthrise as well as the price slash on the Siege range of figure assortment that has already been sold out at the beginning of June 2020. All these stores now have tapped out and drained all their stocks leaving the unfavorable characters taking up what’s left of the shelves.
For the Landmark toy section, there haven’t been any changes since they closed down during the pandemic. But they were aware of the changes on their stock if they have them on sale or still currently carrying their original price tag.
Here are some of the notable assortments that might surprise you that are no longer available in major stores in Makati that they still have them on the shelf.
Massive Shockwave
This Leader Class assortment figure has been sold out as the last two stocks at Toys R’ Us in Glorietta has been sold out since late in June. Since the re-open of retail stores this figure was immediately snapped from their toy shelves since it is now 505 off from its original retail of ₱2,999.75 Pesos ($85.62 AUD | $61.00 USD**) which is now at ₱1,499.75 Pesos ($42.80 AUD | $30.50 USD**).
There are TEN of these figures sharing shelf space just up top of the Transformers display that no one has been noticing since the toy section reopened on 15 July 2020. But once this news gets out as of this writing it will surely fly off the shelves that will definitely give you a Shockwave.
An Army of Chromia
The lease favorable character from the second wave release in the Siege range from the Deluxe Class assortment that definitely needs love as this femme bot is currently stocked with fourteen of these figures. For those unaware Chromia’s Siege figure is based on the Power of the Primes femme bot template with slight retool removing the combiner port option in giving her fresh look and waist articulation.
A regular Deluxe Class assortment figure goes for ₱999.75 Pesos ($28.53 AUD | $20.30 USD**) and it is now at ₱500.00 Pesos ($14.25 AUD | $10.15 USD**) which is quite tempting pick up for those who never got her when it was released. Of course, collectors would ignore her since the body she is using is the same ones used by previous femme bots from the PotP toyline.
But for those who never got her or the debut figure from 2014’s Generation toy line, this one would be good enough alternative to build your femme bot cast of characters.
Vintage G1 Optimus Prime
Lastly, the Vintage G1 Walmart Exclusive Optimus Prime minus the iconic trailer that he comes with from the previous reissues. This was already on clearance in North America and in Australia if you can still find one in stores with a fraction of its current retail price that’s quite a deal.
The Landmark still has two of these on their current retail that would give non-Filipinos ignoring it like it never existed due to its retail at ₱3,499.75 Pesos ($99.89 AUD | $71.10 USD**) that is even way overpriced compared to international price points in North America and Australasia region or even in its neighboring Southeast Asian region.
If you’re keen to make the travel or have the chance to pass by The Landmark in Makati City this is your chance to snap up some of the figures for the stores to stock up on the latest Earthrise and Cyberverse assortment that still churning up new figures that were recently announced during Hasbro Pulse streaming reveals.
