02.19.2020 - Sometimes the best places to find the Transformers figure that you missed are the location that had enough foot traffic and it is off the radar namely before going south bound. In case you’re in the hunt for the latest wave from Siege and Cyberverse maybe it must be the right timing for you to find it at Toy Kingdom in SM MoA. There are only two stores in SM Mall of Asia and that’s in Toy Kingdom and TK Express inside The SM Store (Department Store). Rarely, there is something worth the trip to this place unless they have restocked the latest Transformers from War For Cybertron and the animated series in Cyberverse which was sighted today!

Toy Kingdom doesn’t get enough credit for being the first store to have War for Cybertron: Siege and Cyberverse assortments dating back to the ‘distribution day’ in December 2018. With an influx of Transformers collectors in the Philippines in the last five years means huge demand is in high gear.

Though not the case with local retail in the country as with respect to the local distributor namely Playkit Inc that they have to pay the cost, shipping, and tax amounting to other customs fees for the reason why the price point has jumped in the previous years with the concentration of the collecting market is in Metro Manila the toys would still be allocated in small portions despite the demand.

Of course not counting the other elements like ‘secondary market’ sellers and ‘exclusivity’ with special individuals to add that to the growing demand all these products would be sold out immediately even before reaching shelf space. But as long as there are actual interest in the product they’ll still appear on retail it is not immediately but you have to wait unless alternatives through specialty shops.











TK Express at The SM Store

You can bet there are a few ‘stones unturned’ if you’re still in the hunt for the WFC: Siege Deluxe Class assortment from Wave 4 and 5 as sighted in this store what’s left on the shelf appears to be some gems that other retail stores don’t have namely Barricade, Autobot Impactor, Spinister, and Crosshairs.

Beside the popular Siege range of Deluxe Class assortment there are also the Cyberse Ultimate Class featuring Shockwave and Optimus Prime to round up the new stuff on their shelf as details below as follows:

Toy Kingdom

This store has been moving around SM Mall of Asia in the last five years and finally settled to its original location near the escalators. The set up for non-Manila based visitors would be impressed, but it stops there unless they have something what other stores within Metro Manila has something to offer like updated stocks of War for Cybertron: Siege or the latest figures from Cyberverse.

There are some noteworthy assortments that are still on their shelf despite being bigger than The SM Store’s TK Express section. You can find a list of what was sighted with details below as follows:

You can also find some assortments from the Cyberverse range of figures including the first four waves of Build-A-Figure to put together Maccadams at Toy Kingdom, while the rest are from the previous releases there are other alternatives if you no longer find the ones that was seen at these stores.
