| 08.25.2018 – Major events like the Toy Kingdom Toy Expo defines what kind of brand that is out there that continues to be relevant. Mostly from the toy brands that are synonymous with the hits for 2018 like the Avengers or Star Wars are the winners for kids that look forward to see in this event that also collectors go for.
But for the Transformers brand even though there was not much flair for its recent live action film from last year there is still interest for the toyline with Hasbro’s flagship range of Generations “Power of the Prime” coming to a close as the third instalment of the “Prime Wars Trilogy” supported with an animation by Machinima. |
Despite so many layers of toyline targeted from mass audience, kids, and collectors the brand continue to cement itself with a booth at this year’s Toy Kingdom Toy Expo with collector’s display featuring all the characters that appeared in the “Prime Wars Trilogy” beginning with Combiner Wars, Titans Return, and some of the last wave releases from Power of the Primes.
The first day was extra special where Playkit Philippines (local distributor for the Hasbro Brand) dropped some of the latest wave of POTP assortments that includes the sought after Deluxe Class Nova Star. There were other reveals like the Movie Masterpiece Barricade, special Deluxe Class figures like Repugnus, Decepticon Blast Off, and Punch-Counterpunch.
There’s other plethora of good stuff that were available for this event namely the previous waves from the Combiner Wars and Titans Return assortment that are now on clearance have been snatched by customers upon its display was sighted to be sold out immediately.
Besides the Collector’s Display and Exclusive Releases just a few booths away there’s a life size classic Chevy Camaro of Bubmblebee that first appeared in the 2007 live-action film that might be the same car that also on display at a local car show almost eleven years ago. It was a busy time for the Transformers booth at the Toy Kingdom Toy Expo and this is just the very first day.
Toy Kingdom: Toy Expo 2018 is currently happening from 24-26 August 2018 at the SMX Convention Centre and it is FREE ENTRY.
