Micronus is one of the thirteen Prime Masters that were released with individual carded packaging introduced in the First Wave assortment along that includes Vector Prime with Metalhawk and Liege Maximo with Skullgrin. The mini figure takes inspiration from Cloudburst’s inner robot that uses the Decoy Amor likeness for the above mentioned Pretender.
The amount of detail on the Decoy Armor is impressive as the inner robot that takes it with the First Wave assortment of Prime Masters released early this year. Although it is not entirely Pretenders you get an idea where Hasbro and Takara Tomy taking the brand inspiration with the nostalgia factor recreating the success of the Pretenders in this new form with the thirteen Prime Masters.
Decoy Armored in Small Packages
With every basic Prime Master assortment the small inner robot can ride any Legends Class figure and can replace the Leader Class Matrix Core adding play value to these tiny and yet impressive assortment. It would be strange if you try to attach the Prime Masters to a Deluxe Class Titans Return figure due to the unique backpack design for this micro figure like Micronus.
Besides transforming and becoming part of the Leader Class Matrix core Micronus attaches itself to the Decoy Armor in Weapon Mode as what the intended idea as being an accessory to all basic assortments to this toyline as well as previous one due to the 5mm peg that has become the standard for the figures.
Micronus inside Cloudburst
Cloudburst Decoy Armor is well detailed that Micrnus can see through the very tiny slid under the shell’s helmet instead of r a human face that the original toy has. Although there are no weapons included the double barrel machine gun attach to the decoy armor can be removed and become its weapon.
But when it is time to turn the Decoy Armor into a weapon itself the inner robot namely Micronus turns into a Matrix Core and pegged to a slot at the back of the Pretender Shell and the double-barrel gun becomes the entirety of the Weapon Mode as seen with Beachcomber (sold separately) as its bearer.
Overall basic with being tiny and limited with articulation Micronus with Cloudburst Decoy Armor is one of the Prime Masters to have not because it takes inspiration from the original Pretender version of Cloudburst, but the character’s aesthetics never gets outdated as one of the favorites that usually sold out among its Prime Master Wavemates.
