06.05.2012 – Transformers Prime finally sets to debut in Philippine cable television on June 18, 2012. Finally! After a long wait the much viewed TV series in North America through the Hub Network gets to be shown on Cartoon Network Philippines.
This precedes the previous TV series “Transformers Animated” which was shown back sometime in 2009. Just like the previous animated series the latest in Transformers Prime is accompanied by a slew of merchandise most notably the action figures produced by Hasbro and locally distributed by Playkit. |
The toys have been released since late 2011 coming out with the Delux Class First Editions of Bumblebee, Arcee, Starscream and the much elusive Cliffjumper which was voiced by Duane “The Rock” Johnson.
Initially there was also First Editions for Voyager Class Optimus Prime and Bulkhead as wells as a two-pack exclusive of Optimus Prime and Megatron that included the DVD edition of the first five episodes from the TV series as well as the human companions of Jack Darby, Miko Nakadai, and Raf Esquivel.
For some fans who does not have access to the TV series will finally see what’s the buzz about Transformers Prime which currently on its second season the US.
Expect some heavy metal action and some humor with your favorite Autobots and the most hated Decepticons. Optimus Prime and Megatron are voiced by Peter Cullen and Frank Welker from the original 1984 cartoons.
Transformers Prime is from the live action movie screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman who is producing the series. The show will debut on June 18, 2012 with the five-part episode and to be aired on weeknights at 6PM (Philippine Time).
