Vintage TF G1: Dinobot Slag!

07.01.2014 – When you talk about the Dinobots the first name you’ll recall will be Grimlock, since he’s the most popular among the five characters that was created by Ratchet and Wheeljack in the classic animated series. In the comic books their origins are different from what you’ve known. The second popular Dinobot would probably be Slag, the Triceratops who had the humorous comment upon kicking the doors in the planet of the Quintessons in the 1986 Transformers: The Movie. For some he would pass up as a ‘cute’ Triceratops, but don’t be fooled by this Dinobot’s cuddliness.

TF Encore 12: Metroplex!

01.03.2013 – The Autobot City was the main part of the Transformers: The Movie from 1986 it was THE battleground that witness the death of Optimus Prime set in the year 2005 where Ultra Magnus and the new characters where introduced. It is an iconic scene that some kids won’t forget and the city everyone has known in the film became a regular setting in the third season known as Metroplex. The gigantic robot was last line of defense against the Decepticons.

Generation One: Ultra Magnus!

10.08.2012 – In the year 1986 when Hasbro was pushing to promote the animated movie they also came out with a new wave of Transformers toys. Ultra Magnus was introduced as the leader of the Autobots taking resident in the Autobot City on Earth. Of course the setting was in the year 2005 and countless long-time fans of the franchise have seen Optimus Prime die in this movie and cried to share that story. Ultra Magnus’ character in the TV series was far more interesting when it was told in the comic books and definitely more than meets the eye!

TransFormers Collection 7: Lambor (Sideswipe)

06.14.2012 – Sideswipe one of the original iconic characters from the Generation One series from 1984. The less sociopath twin brother of Sunstreaker transforming into the Lamborghini “New Countach” LP500S based from the actual car of the same name which was manufactured from 1974 to 1990. Sideswipe known as Lambor in Japan was originally one of Takara’s Pre-Transformers products under the Diaclone toyline. The vintage Sideswipe was repackaged along with the other previous toys made by the Japanese manufacturer into the Transformers toys we have seen.
