03.02.2018 – The Robots in Disguise TV Series may have wrapped up but that doesn’t stop Hasbro or Takara Tomy to produce further merchandise and tie-in products based on the characters that appeared in the show. Clearly there are more Robots in Disguise than Meets the Eyes. Usually, promotional tie-ups with fast food restaurants such as McDonald’s make the property even more relevant despite mixed reactions of the recent iteration of the live-action films. With that in mind the Happy Meal toys based on the series were released subsequently between its series premiere and last year’s release.

03.06.2017 – Grimlock has been a popular character that his name has been used in previous series going back to Beast Wars. But this Grimlock is not the same one from those who grew up with the original cartoon he’s from the 2015 RID Series. McDonald’s have released a new set of Happy Meal toys based from the ‘Robots in the Disguise’ series apart from the one that was sold in 2015 which also included Grimlock. This time the latest iteration has something more than it can chew!

02.26.2017 – There have been unknown characters in the world of Transformers. For the 2015 Robots in Disguise series Bumblebee would be the most visible character, since he’s the leader of the pack when he was introduced in the very first episode. But Bee is the not the only Autobot who travelled with him going back to Earth. Strongarm, a rookie cadet was also introduced in the series. This Autobot is a ‘she’ and was included in the new Happy Meal toys for this month in Australia!

07.16.2016 – Previously McDonald’s has consistently released Happy Meal toys based from the current Transformers series Robots in Disguise. For this year they continue the tradition and with Hasbro in bringing this toy premium expanding the Transformers brand. But most of them are not toy-based but rather a role play premium for the younger kids. For the Philippine market RiD is introduced as this month’s Happy Meal alongside for the boys while Sanrio characters is set for girls to collect.

09.01.2015 – Grimlock is one of the iconic characters in Transformers culture. Well known in the Generation One as well as various incarnation of the character has appeared in other series. But they’re not all related unless you’re a character fan. The latest iteration of the famous dinobot appears in the 2015 series “Transformers: Robots in Disguise” not to be mistaken from the Japanese produced series in 2001. This latest McDonald’s Happy Meal features the Robots in Disguise’s Grimlock!

08.12.2015 – The latest Transformers series right now is Robots in Disguise not to be mistaken for the 2001 series of the same name, which was originally titled ‘Car Robots’ in Japan. This new series is mostly targeted for the younger audience. For the reason why the latest Happy Meal in the Philippines features Transformers Robots in Disguise, which was also released in the US earlier this year. The last one was based from the TransFormers: Prime series almost two years ago and probably won’t remember them now for being non-transforming. The new TransFormers: Robots in Disguise seemed interesting as McDonald’s had released the Happy Meal toys earlier this year paired with My Little Pony. But in the Philippines they have been sighted earlier paired with Littlest Petshop…

Happy Meal 2013 TF Prime: Optimus Prime!

02.01.2013 – Transformers Prime is the current TV show on The Hub that is now getting a lot of promotional release like the current Mcdonald's Happy Meal toys in North America. The latest toys for Happy Meal in the US are the Transformers Prime action figures and SMU Toys has one reviewed. There are six characters featuring six Autobots (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Bulkhead) and Decepticons (Megatron, Breakdown and Starscream) for the boys while Hello Kitty provides the toys for the girls. But for this review our resident Transfan takes a look at Optimus Prime!

US McDonald's Happy Meal: TransFormers

11.22.2010 - Mcdonald's in the US next Happy Meal. toy featured will be based from the live action movie. It's another of these toys we won't see the light of the day here in the Philippines. Though the last Happy Meal that featured Transformers, where last February that has The Animated four characters for you to collect. This assortment looks exciting with Optimus Prime as the favorite featuring the light up features.
