| 05.28.2019 – There was an unexpected sighting yesterday at Toy Kingdom’s flagship store in SM Megamall. The toys that were sighted are Evolution Nemesis Prime (Amazon Exclusive), Transformers Legends Hot Rodimus, and Bumblebee Vol. 1 Retro Rock Garage that were available in the store.
In the three mentioned the most sought after is the Transformers Legends LG-25, which Takara Tomy version of Titans Masters Autobot Hot Rod that was only available in selected markets outside Japan until it became available locally. |
The following sighting at Toy Kingdom yesterday courtesy of Franz Echevarria to see what’s left of the aforementioned toys it seemed that there was a storm that came in once the posted images first appeared at a local Facebook group IACON PH at 4:38 PM (Manila Time) as the towering display of LG-25 figures are all gone.
While the remaining Bumblebee Vol. 1 Retro Rock Garage are still there with a handful Evolution Nemesis Prime (Amazon Exclusive) figures. It was the LG-25 figure that was definitely gone sold out.
There was Toy Kingdom staff wasn’t even aware that there was toys that came out yesterday as he mentioned being on a day off when it was available yesterday and vaguely no knowledge of the toys that was already gone from the display.
The good news for those still into hunting the second wave of Siege assortments can still acquire The Micromaster Sky Patrol featuring Laserbeak and Ravage and Deluxe Class Ironhide that most have said that it was hard to find. The newly stocked assortment would be considered a silver lining for those still in the hunt for these characters that are not available in other local stores in Manila.
Nemesis Prime at TRU Flagship
After a toy run to check out Toy Kingdom at The Podium, which doesn’t have any new restock or sighting of the above mentioned toys the Toys R’ Us in Robinsons Galleria has some interesting sightings.
The Evolution Nemesis Prime is on Transformers section sitting beside its other Leader Class assortment while the second wave of Siege assortment is now restocked for those still in the hunt with Voyager Class Soundwave, which is also available in the Toy Kingdom flagship store in SM Megamall.
It is also noting that after leaving TRU the same Evolution Nemesis Prime is also available at Toy Kingdom in Virra Mall Greenhills along with a handful of Bumblebee Vol. 1 Retro Rock Garage 3-pack. So far no sightings of LG-25 that was already gone from Toy Kingdom shelves.
Babe’s Children World Surprise
At the far side of Virra Mall just in front of Ace Hardware’s entrance you’ll find a tiny store that has been there even before the entire complex had a major makeover almost a decade ago. The store has old and new toys that have been hard to find in other shops and this tiny little store might be familiar to long time collectors.
You’ll be surprise to know that the aforementioned LG-25 Hot Rodimus is still available here, where the staff assigned named Aymie claims they’ll be having more restocks of the much sold out Hot Rodimus at their store. If your luck ran out not getting this figure, you can head down to Virra Mall in Greenhils at Babe’s and you’ll find that fiery Autobot in their store.
They are also taking pre-order payment for those hoping to get Siege Omega Supreme with a retail price at PhP 8,200.00 pesos ($156.81 USD | $226.58 AUD**)
