Power of the Primes | Quintus Prime with Bludgeon

05.23.2019 – Power of the Primes has an interesting play feature that connects the brand’s previous toyline and its present interest for the expansion of the modern reinterpretation for the Generations overall range of figures and assortment.

The Titans Return might be the modern Headmasters for this toyline.

The Prime Masters could probably a combination of concepts that collaborative with an “engine” concept of the Power Masters and Pretenders themes to complete the Prime Wars Trilogy with the idea of how they address the thirteen Primes story.

Its third wave release has introduced the last three Prime Masters in general retail while the remaining Prime Masters are included in the Thrones of the Primes set to complete all thirteen excluding pack in Prime Masters from Special Edition Blast-Off, Repugnus, and Punch/Counter Punch assortment.

At first the Prime Masters are considered modern reinterpretation of the G1 Pretenders, but they’re just decoy armor housing the essence of the first eight characters of the Thirteen Primes, while the rest are packed in with special figures.

Quintus Prime

The inner robot that hides inside Bludgeon’s decoy armor shell is Quintus Prime. He is a scientist of the Thirteen, who possesses a mind second to none. Described for the character having idealism and perfectionist tendencies means that he frequently butts heads with the less imaginative members of the Thirteen.

Something of a daydreamer, Quintus believes that life, in all its forms, is the most important thing in the universe, and that life should be encouraged to grow and thrive at all costs throughout the galaxy. Accordingly, he wields the Emberstone, an artifact which can accelerate biological processes in base elements.

Pretending Bludgeon

The decoy armor design and sculpting takes inspiration from the vintage Bludgeon pretender shell that was released in 1988. But this Bludgeon has more details taking homage from various appearances in the comicbooks and other media.

Quintus Prime transforms into the Prime Core that can replace the Matrix core of a Power of the Primes Leader Class figure. This Micro Figures would also be considered a Titan Master that can also ride Legends Class figures, or attach to Deluxe Class figures' chest armor,

Voyager Class figures' bucklers, or Voyager Class figures' combined modes. Similar to all of the decoy armor, the weapon piece for weapon mode can detach and be held by the decoy armor.

Overall the concept now gives you an idea that the Pretenders are actually human size than giant robots in “human suits,” But Bludgeon is an interesting addition to representing the character in this toyline. The alternate mode is a literal to his name and makes it one of the unique Prime Masters released.
