Shin Tokyo would probably be the go to store for Japanese imports straight from the rising sun for anime, manga, gaming and even clothing apparel. They have a slice of Japan that also Gundam model kits that it’s only available here, but what stands out on this store are also the Takara Tomy released Transformers toys! |
In the Philippine stores like Shin Tokyo there has an abundance of toys that you can find in Greenhills, but in Adelaide South Australia you can only find very few that brings all the Japanese imported products, though it might be pricey for those who get their regular fix back in Manila this is could probably the place for South Australians to get their Otaku fix.
For those Transformers fans who look for high end products above Hasbro’s quality Shin Tokyo provides a select of Transformers toys produced by Takara Tomy, which include the Masterpiece line featuring Generation One characters.

They also have the Japanese counterpart of the latest Generations series of toys from ‘Titans Return’ under the Transformers Legends range. You can find some of these in their glass display and they’re price point is not close enough to the ones Hasbro produced sold at retail stores like Big W, Kmart, Target, Myer or even at their local Toys R’ Us.
But you’re paying premium for these toys if you take quality as the choice for collecting these figures. For those who does collect them its all worth it, but the ones who collect selectively the choices are limited as they don’t have consistent products available and can only acquired through by order basis. What's benificial for regulars at Shin Tokyo you get a fair price if you also sign up for their membership to get a discount and that is a rare thing out here. So if you happen to be into the Takara Tomy produced Transformers brand this might be the place fore you.
