| 06.14.2014 – No Filipino-based Transformers fan ever going to miss seeing Age of Extinction in Philippine theaters. Everyone started asking questions wondering and then there are some who just haven’t been reading about when it that is on June 25, 2014.
The movie promotion went into high gear and set a date to push for the movie’s scheduled screen date. There are no speculations anymore since the weekend promotional event was launched at the SM Mall of Asia’s main mall one Friday afternoon. |
The toys where already released prior to the official announcement and its already on displays. Well known toy stores have already announced the exclusive releases of the toys from Hasbro as well as merchandises tied for the event. Dunkin Donuts and Oreo have showed their individual promotions.
In the event itself a portion of the venue has all the merchandise from school supplies to action figures that was released previously. At the main stage a replica of the movie’s wildcard namely Grimlock in his alternate dinosaur mode was built on stage that captivated the back drop where a sign of Chicago was being honored as the battleground from the 2007’s original film.
It seems local toy distributor Playkit has started putting all the movie toys at their shelves, and there will be an official launch sometime next week. The program did not start immediately and invited guests started to fill up the chairs that were surrounded with all the movie tie-ups. Even a Chevrolet Camaro ‘Transformers Edition’ was on display that is similar to a famous local football athlete’s car that was spotted in 2011.
Clearly Transformers is again back in Filipino spotlight with its pageantry promoting its fourth film ‘Age of Extinction’ led by a new cast of humans which stars Mark Wahlberg in the lead role along with Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor with Stanley Tucci.
The movie launched had simple and yet fun program for the young and seasoned fans of the movie franchise. The trivia questions that gave away prizes was asked to invited guess then followed a special message to some of the cast members before they rolled out the official trailer that revealed what to see in on July 25, 2014 when it comes out.
Oreo was also at the venue with their exclusive flavored cookies featured two new flavors and also served their brand of sweets for the guests. A photo booth was set up to have souvenir photos too.

It was generally an event where mall goers can have their chance to be part of the Transformers experience in promoting ‘Age of Extinction’ with Grimlock in the background for your photos this weekend until Sunday. It’s certainly a movie event not to miss spending time with your friends and family getting excited for the film.
Transformers Age of Extinction is directed by Michael Bay and Paramount Pi9ctures globally distributed by Universal International Pictures in Asia to be released in the Philippines by Columbia Pictures PH showing in cinemas on June 25, 2014!
