PRESS RELEASE: Kre-O Construct-Bots!

A4707 Construct-Bots Bumblebee Triple Changer Robot Mode
01.22.2013 – Hasbro has launched a new toy line that definitely looks like its Bionicle Knock Off or based from a Hero Factory action figure but it’s entirely a new concept for the Kre-O construction toys.

Wired has recently shared the news online in this interesting Transformers Construct-Bots that surely would find it also educational to build!

These are worth taking a second look as there are already a complete line of characters featuring your favorites like Megatron, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Starscream and Soundwave backed by a supporting cast of other robots that are definitely more than meets the eye!

The characters if course are based from the Generation One series and based on the head designs but vehicle models are entirely different and seeing Bumblebee as a triple changer is something an interesting twist from the days he was widely known as a Volkswagen Beetle.

That missing element? The ability to customize Transformers to fit your own imagination. And now Hasbro is taking care of that with the advent of Construct-Bots, set to be revealed tomorrow at the UK Toy Fair. Construct-Bots will come in four different sets, but all of them will have parts interchangeable with the rest, and each will come with a re-sealable case to ensure your kids (or you) don’t lose the parts:

The Scout assortment of Construct-Bots will each retail for $9.99, and will have 10 characters, including Starscream and Ironhide seen above.

The Elite assortment of Construct-Bots will each retail for $14.99, and will have 10 characters, including Wheeljack and Soundwave seen above.

The Triple Changer assortment of Construct-Bots will each retail for $24.99, and will be just Bumblebee and Blitzwing (seen above) — but they’ll each transform into both a car and a jet.

The Ultimate assortment of Construct-Bots will retail for $34.99, and will come with both Optimus Prime and Megatron, both seen above. Both Transformers will include projectile-firing launchers.

All Construct-Bot assortments are scheduled to hit store shelves in August of this year.
