TF Sightings | Bumblebee Movie Merchandise & More

11.12.2018 – Although the upcoming Transformers Movie spinoff entitled simply as “Bumblebee” won’t be released in the Philippine cinemas until early part of January 2019 as dismayed Filipino fans have reacted to this news.

However, there have been an abundance of merchandise and clothing that is already promoting the said film.

From toys by Hasbro and Takara Tomy to the licensed shirts sold at The SM Store it sure is something to see amidst the popularity between Marvel Studios and the latest Star Wars Trilogy.

With all the hoopla for what to expect for in 2019 there are still true Transformers fans out there that would still support the franchise despite the decline of the past feature films. Bumblebee is something of a bright spot for all Transformers fans all over the world as a promising because it will be the first Transformers film not directed by Michael Bay, but by Travis Knight who is well known for stop motion animated feature film in Kubo and the Tow Strings.

Thus, when there’s a new feature film there are sure merchandise to follow that builds interest with the exception of McDonald’s in the Philippines not having a Happy Meal toy, since those said collectibles have already been released early this year that is actually based from the latest Transformers Cyberverse TV series.

The Studio Series

For the Adult Collector it is probably the only figure along with the other characters related to the said film that will be featured in this range. Hasbro and Takara Tomy has a unified range of characters and figures based from past, present (that includes the Bumblebee Movie), and future related movie tie-in toyline.

Sighted at the Landmark department store it seems the only place you’ll probably find a Studio Series version of Bumblebee. It is a toyline directed to Adult Collectors as the likeness of the character is based from including its licensed alternate mode of the Classic Volkswagen Beetle that fans have been waiting for in the a long time to see now in toy form that they can related to going back in the early days from G1.

Licensed Shirts

The SM Store has been producing licensed shirts ranging from DC, Marvel, Disney, Star Wars, and Transformers to name a few. They’re not as well-known to compare with Uniqlo if you’re expecting a popular brand. In Australia it also happens they have the same way of producing these type of shirts that depends also to the quality and material hence the way they became available as a final product.

The shirts however is something most would gratify to in acquire aside from the merchandise. At the SM Store they are quite unique in nature because when they’ye sold out the supplier that produces them discontinues the design and never a repeat. But recent designs has been mixed with the reception and that makes it more challenging to choose the best of them and sometimes you end up the mediocre ones.

General Toy and Merchandise Release

Lastly, the entire range of Bumblebee Movie toys by Hasbro doesn’t have a specific demographic but for a general retail can now be seen at Toy Kingdom and Toys R’ Us that you may not find the Studio Series version of Bumblebee due to being the most coveted collectible of them all.

Certainly if you’re not the one that would let your child play with that type of figure the general release of toys from this range would be advisable. If you have the time to get into the early Christmas shopping spree these are the toys you kid may want to have under that green tree for now.
