Peter Cullen Celebrate Home Release for Age of Extinction!

10.01.2014 – The legend of Optimus Prime continues to grow through the voice of the 2011 Daytime Emmy Award winner in Peter Cullen.

He was honored at the TLC Chinese Theater in Hollywood Tuesday afternoon immortalized during the world-famous handprint-footprint ceremony.

This was also to celebrate the home entertainment release of Transformers: Age of Extinction in Blu-Ray and DVD format. Peter Cullen has been voicing the Autobot Commander for decades and he has nothing but praise for bringing the character to life…



The actor has been known to voice also Iron Hide in the original cartoons, Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh, Zandar in G.I. Joe, and Cindarr in Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light. But he’s famously known being the voice behind Optimus Prime, which he also voiced in videogames as wells as the recent Transformers series in TF Prime (2010).

After earning $1 billion at the box office Transformers: Age of Extinction is makings its way to a home entertainment release cementing itself literally with an exclamation point via Peter Cullen’s mark to honor its launch at the TLC Chinese Theater. Not only it adds to Cullen’s legacy as a well respected voice actor it also puts Transformers brand on the map not only in the US but internationally for those who grew up seeing the classic cartoon series.

It was a day of celebration and looking forward to the future as TLC Chinese Theater has the giant Optimus Prime guarding the entrance of the red carpet. The tremendous impact in Peter Cullen’s career has been big in due to voicing Optimus Prime, but he never forgets his roots how it all started way back in 1984.
